Carissa Williams moved to Urbandale in 2013 with her husband Ryan. Ryan is a teacher and coach in the district, and they knew that Urbandale provided the kind of community where they wanted to raise their children. They have four daughters: Harper, Ava, Elin, and Sylvie. Carissa is the Urbandale Senior Recreation Center Supervisor. She was raised in Boone, and she studied Economics & Business and Political Science at Cornell College. Carissa spends her free time volunteering with UCAN, swimming, touring the parks with her family, and being a dance mom. Carissa’s belief is that recreation and a sense of community are what provide a great quality of life. She is thrilled to contribute to the quality of life of Urbandale residents, both at work and through the work of UCAN.
